The picture on the left was taken May 2008 and I started going to the gym in August 2008. I was overwhelmed by the weights and the machines not really knowing what I needed to do to get the look that I wanted to achieve. I started training with Manuela in October 2008 and it has been the best experience that I have had in a gym with a combination of weight training and pilates. At 42 I look and feel better than I did when I was 20. I am getting the results that I want mainly because Manuela is in tune with each individuals needs and goals while keeping you realistic and safe. Sometimes I have a tendency to lift heavier weights than I should so if I did not have Manuela as my trainer I would most likely have caused injury to myself, she taught me slow down on my reps rather than overloading the weight. I started at 215 lbs and now I am maintaining at 140 lbs consistently through training and pilates. Manuela teaches her clients to eat natural and healthy. Thank you, Manuela!!!!
In 2008 I had a bone marrow transplant as a result of have Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, since then I have had severe pain in my hips from Osteoporosis. I started Pilates with Manuela about 2 months ago and the result has been incredible. Pilates reduces my pain to a tolerable level. Before I was taking 8-10 pain killers a day and now I only take them sometimes. I only do Pilates once a week because thats all my schedule will allow, but imagine if I could so it twice a week. Bye bye pain killers!!
